Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Nagaland Me (“we”, “us”) collects when you use Nagaland AI on nagalandai.com and in the Nagaland AI mobile app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Last updated 31 October 2026.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

  • Account data — name, email address and a password (stored hashed) when you create an account.
  • Conversation text and photos — the messages and photos you send, processed to generate a reply. If you use Nagaland AI without an account, your chats stay only in your browser or phone. If you have an account, your chats are saved to it so you can continue them on any device; you can delete a chat, or all your chats, at any time, and they are deleted with your account. We do not store the photos you send: a photo message is kept as text only.
  • Memory — facts you explicitly ask Nagaland AI to remember.
  • Child links — the parent code, child’s name, class and school you link so we can answer attendance, holiday and bus questions.
  • Usage and device data — message counts, approximate device fingerprint and IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention; app version and push notification token if you allow notifications.
  • Payment records — plan, amount, dates and payment identifiers from Razorpay, Apple or Google. We never receive card details.

3. How we use it

To provide and improve the service, enforce fair-use limits, process subscriptions, send service notifications you opted into, answer support requests, and comply with the law. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your conversations to train AI models.

4. Who we share it with

  • AI model provider — receives conversation text, photos you send and fetched context to generate replies, not your account identity.
  • Nagaland AI Schools — receives the parent code to look up your linked child’s records.
  • Payment providers — Razorpay, Apple App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat (subscription management) for purchases.
  • Infrastructure — our hosting provider and push notification service (Expo).
  • Authorities — when required by law.

5. Children

Nagaland AI is designed for all ages but accounts are created by adults. Student data from schools is shown only to the verified parent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental involvement.

6. Retention

Account data stays until you delete your account. Memories and child links are deleted when you remove them or delete your account. Error logs are kept for a short period without message content. Payment records are kept as required for accounting.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your data at any time from your account page or inside the app (“Delete account”), withdraw consent for notifications, and contact us with any concern or grievance at info@nagalandai.com. We follow the principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, access is rate-limited and the mobile app authenticates to our servers with a private key. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

9. Changes

We will post updates to this page and change the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
