AI Transparency
Nagaland AI believes in honest, responsible use of artificial intelligence. This page explains how the platform works, what it can and cannot do, and how we ensure quality and safety.
Where You Can Use Nagaland AI
Nagaland AI is available on the web and as a free mobile app on both major platforms:
- iPhone and iPad: the free Nagaland AI app on the Apple App Store
- Android: the free Nagaland AI app on Google Play
- Web: chat directly at nagalandai.com
- English speaking practice is available in the mobile apps, which is where the microphone and spoken replies are supported
How Nagaland AI Works
Nagaland AI uses large language models (LLMs) to process your questions and generate responses. It does not store a static database of answers instead, it generates each response based on your specific question, the conversation context, and any live data available at that moment.
In Chat Mode, Nagaland AI pulls live data from multiple sources before answering:
- News: 20+ RSS feeds from verified publishers (Nagaland Post, Morung Express, NDTV, BBC, etc.)
- Live web search: Nagaland AI can search the internet and answer from what it finds, with source links. Search runs when you ask for it for example, “search online for…” or “google this…” rather than on every message
- Weather: Real-time data from Open-Meteo for all 16 Nagaland districts
- Scholarships: Official data from DHE Nagaland and the National Scholarship Portal
- Dictionary: Live lookups from Nagaland Dictionary (nagalanddictionary.com)
- Profiles: Live search from Nagaland Profiles (nagalandprofiles.com)
In Student Mode, Nagaland AI functions as an AI teacher:
- It auto-detects the subject and grade level from your question
- It adapts its teaching style to the student’s level (Class 1 through PhD)
- It provides step-by-step solutions, explanations, examples, and practice questions
- It is aligned with NBSE, CBSE, and ICSE curricula
In English Speaking Mode, Nagaland AI becomes a spoken English practice partner. This mode is available in the free Nagaland AI mobile app for iPhone and Android:
- You speak out loud, Nagaland AI answers out loud, and it then starts listening again on its own so the conversation is hands-free
- Your speech is turned into text by your phone’s own speech recognition, tuned for Indian English
- It responds like a patient English teacher: it corrects gently inside the conversation rather than marking you wrong, and it praises genuine effort
- Practice topics are everyday and practical family, food, school and studies, work, travel, festivals, daily routine, and job interviews with familiar Nagaland examples
- Replies are read aloud in a natural AI-generated voice, with your phone’s built-in voice used automatically if that voice is unavailable
- Speaking practice is kept appropriate for all ages, including school students

Known Limitations
Like all AI systems, Nagaland AI has limitations:
- It may sometimes be inaccurate. AI generates responses based on patterns, not perfect knowledge. Always verify important information from official sources.
- It does not browse the whole internet on its own. Nagaland AI can search the live web when you ask it to, and it automatically pulls live news, weather, and scholarship data. Outside of those, it answers from what it has already learned rather than by reading every website in real time.
- Search results are only as good as what the web returns. When Nagaland AI searches online, it summarises the pages it finds and shares the links. Those pages are written by others, so please open the sources and judge them for yourself.
- It may lack deep local knowledge. While trained to prioritize Nagaland context, some highly specific local information may not be available.
- It cannot replace teachers, doctors, lawyers, or financial advisors. It provides educational support and general information, not professional advice.
- News data depends on RSS feeds. If a publisher’s RSS feed is down, that source’s news will be temporarily unavailable.
- Speaking practice is available only in the mobile app. It is not available on the website, and it needs microphone permission and a free account.
- Speech recognition can mishear you. Background noise, speaking very fast, or an unfamiliar accent can cause words to be read incorrectly, and Nagaland AI will answer what it heard. Speaking clearly in a quiet place gives the best results.
- Daily speaking time is limited. Free accounts receive a set amount of speaking practice each day, which resets the following day.

- Speaking practice: your speech is converted to text by your phone’s own speech recognition system, and only that text is sent to Nagaland AI. Nagaland AI does not record or store your voice.

Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is Nagaland AI?
Nagaland AI uses artificial intelligence to generate responses based on patterns in data and publicly available information. While designed to be helpful and relevant, AI-generated content may be incomplete, simplified, or contain unintentional inaccuracies. For news, it pulls from 20+ verified sources with original links. For education, it follows NBSE/CBSE/ICSE curricula. Users should always cross-check important information with official sources.
Can Nagaland AI search the internet?
Yes. Nagaland AI can search the live internet and answer from what it finds, including source links so you can read the original pages yourself. Search runs when you ask for it just say something like “search online for the latest NBSE result date” or “google this for me” rather than automatically on every message, which keeps normal replies fast. Live news, weather, and scholarship data are pulled automatically without needing a search.
Does Nagaland AI have a mobile app?
Yes. Nagaland AI has a free app for both iPhone and Android. You can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app carries everything the website does, plus English Speaking Mode, which needs a microphone and so is available only on mobile.
Does Nagaland AI have a voice?
Yes. Nagaland AI can both listen and speak. English Speaking Mode in the free Nagaland AI mobile app lets you hold a real spoken conversation: you talk, Nagaland AI replies out loud in a natural voice, and it starts listening again on its own, so you never have to press a button between turns. It is built for English speaking practice, so it corrects you gently as you go and always gives you something to say next.
Can I practise speaking English with Nagaland AI?
Yes. English Speaking Mode is designed for exactly that, especially for learners in Nagaland who can read and write English but feel shy speaking it out loud. It behaves like a patient English teacher: it builds confidence first, corrects only one or two things at a time so you are not discouraged, and talks about practical everyday subjects such as family, school, work, travel, festivals, and job interviews. It is free to use with a Nagaland AI account, with a daily amount of speaking time that resets each day. Speaking practice is available in the mobile app for iPhone and Android, not on the website.
Does Nagaland AI collect personal data?
Nagaland AI does not intentionally collect personal information through AI chat interactions. Users are advised not to share sensitive personal data while using the platform. For school attendance data, Nagaland AI Schools is DPDP Act 2023 compliant student data is private, authenticated, and not indexed by search engines.
Can Nagaland AI replace teachers?
No. Nagaland AI is designed to support learning, not replace teachers or formal education. Student Mode functions as a supplementary AI teaching assistant that helps with explanations, exam preparation, and subject understanding. English Speaking Mode gives extra speaking practice outside class hours. Both should be used alongside regular classroom learning, not as a substitute.
